Sound Boat Fishing/ Jigging and Live Bait
Join me for a light tackle backwater fishing on the Albemarle and Pamlico sounds. We will be targeting
flounder, speckled trout and red drum using artificial and live baits. We also encounter blue fish,
striped bass, grey trout and a variety of other critters. The waters are calm and the run to the fishing
grounds is short which makes this a great trip for beginners and families. Kids are always welcome no
matter what age!
Inshore Ocean Boat Fishing
This is where you will catch the big ones! Ocean fishing with Killer Instincts Fishing Adventures means
huge cobia, king mackerel, sharks, red drum, jack crevelle, dophin fish, spanish, blue fish and even
an occasional tarpon! Captain Mike uses a combination of sight casting, live bait slow trolling, and
chumming all in one. This covers a lot of water and targets anything that comes your way. Using this
method, it's not uncommon to catch 4 to 6 different species of fish in one day! In the fall and winter, troll
or jig while the big striped bass and big blue fish are running. Ocean fishing depends on the weather
and ocean conditions.
Surf Fishing
Killer Instincts Fishing Adventures offer surf-fishing trips in the spring and fall of the year, targeting red
drum, speckled trout, striped bass and blue fish. Captain Mike will teach you the art of surf fishing so you
can go out and do it yourself. Learn how to work artificial baits in the surf. Study the proper rigs and baits
to use. Develop the proper technique for long casting. Surf trips are half day or night.
Wade Fishing
You don't always need a boat to encounter world class fishing with Killer Instincts Fishing Adventures.
Wading trips are offered from May to November. Captain Mike has some great "Honey Holes" that boaters
simply cannot get to! Wading will land you speckled trout, flounder, puppy drum and anything else that
happens to swim by! Learn how to read the waters to find the best spots to fish. Wade fishing trips are
available half day only.
